Now starting pilots

Know where your containers are.

BinStride puts a low-cost, long-life tag on each reusable container and shows where it was last seen and when: at your sites, your customers' docks and on the road in between. The BinStride agent works like an employee for your fleet, on 24/7: it flags what needs action, follows up with customers and books containers back.

Built for industrial container fleets, pooling operators and returnable logistics.

The problem

Your containers are valuable. Losing track of them shouldn't be normal.

Reusable containers move between your sites, your customers and your suppliers. Once they leave the yard, what you know about them depends on paperwork and the next scan.

  • Containers disappear

Misplaced or unreturned containers turn into replacement orders.

  • Inventory sits idle

Containers idle at one site can force new purchases at another.

  • Manual tracking falls short

A missed scan or a skipped count leaves a blind spot between sites.

How it works

Attach. Detect. Locate. Follow through.

BinStride shows where each container was last seen, and the BinStride agent follows through: it gets containers back, finds idle ones before you buy more and keeps your fleet records straight, without expensive tracking hardware on every container.

  1. Attach a tag

Fix a small, long-life tag to each container. Nothing to charge, pair or plug in.

  2. Let the network detect it

When a compatible device passes nearby, at a plant, a customer's dock or on the road, it picks up the tag and records the time and the place.

  3. Locate it in BinStride

Search your fleet, see where each container was last seen and when, and spot the ones that haven't been seen lately.

  4. Let the agent follow through

The BinStride agent flags what needs action, follows up with customers and suppliers by email or text, books pickups and keeps your records straight.

The BinStride network

BinStride doesn't need a reader at every site. Each tag is picked up by compatible devices that are already out there, in buildings, along roads and in vehicles. When one passes nearby, BinStride records when and where your container was heard. That works at sites you don't own and could never wire up: your customers' docks, supplier yards, cross-docks and the road between them.

The BinStride network shows where each container was last seen. The BinStride agent does something about it.

Each sighting comes with its time and place.

Watch the overview

Why it matters

More visibility. Less wasted inventory.

Fewer lost containers. Better fleet visibility. More useful inventory.

  • Reduce container losses

See which containers were last seen at the wrong site, or have been at a customer longer than expected, and let the agent go after them.

  • Improve fleet utilization

Know which sites are holding containers before you buy more.

  • Recovery, followed through

The agent follows up with the customer, books the pickup and keeps the record, starting from where each container was last seen.

  • Scale without complex installations

No readers to install at every site. The network does the listening; the agent does the chasing.

Built for container fleets

One platform. Thousands of reusable assets.

Collapsible bulk containers, pallet boxes, bulk and field bins, totes, returnable racks and IBCs. Tell us yours; mounting is tested for each type.

  • Collapsible bulk containers

  • Pallet boxes and bulk bins

  • Produce and field bins

  • Automotive returnables (racks, totes, KLTs)

Metal can block or weaken the tag's signal, so placement and mounting are tested on your container type.

The dashboard

Your entire container fleet, in one view.

Search thousands of containers in seconds. See where each was last seen, and let the agent tell you where to focus first.

Built in: the tags and the dashboard

  • Fleet inventory TagsEvery tagged container, with its ID, type and your own fields
  • Import TagsBring your container list, customer list or dispatch list in as a CSV; its columns sit beside last seen, and the agent works from it
  • Last seen TagsWhere and when each container was last heard
  • Sighting history TagsEach place and time a container was heard, as a list and as dots on a map
  • Fleet map TagsYour sites and where containers were last seen, as points
  • Site view TagsEach site (yours, your customers', your suppliers') with how many of your containers were last seen there and when
  • Search TagsFind a container by ID, type or site
  • Filters TagsBy site, type, customer, your own fields, last seen date
  • Not-seen flags TagsContainers not heard within a window you choose (for example 7, 30 or 90 days)
  • Export TagsInventory and sightings as a spreadsheet (CSV)
  • Dwell reports TagsHow long containers have sat at each site, from your ship dates and where each was last seen

Built in: the agent

The BinStride agent is an AI agent that works like an employee for your fleet, on 24/7. Not another dashboard to watch. An employee that follows through.

  • Exceptions flagged Tags + agentThe agent flags what needs action: containers past your return target, last seen where your records don't expect them, or not seen in your window, and says what it's doing about each.
  • Follow-ups AgentEmails or texts to whoever is holding your containers (a customer, supplier, grower or 3PL), with the list, until they come back
  • Overdue returns Tags + agentContainers kept past the return target you set, by customer, followed up until they're back
  • Unexpected moves Tags + agentA container last seen somewhere your records don't expect, such as a plant outside its loop or a can away from its job, flagged and followed up
  • Pickups Tags + agentPickup lists by customer and area, booked so returns share a truck.
  • Utilization reports Tags + agentTurns and idle time across the fleet
  • Customer accountability reports Tags + agentContainers by customer account, against your own records, with every follow-up and reply
  • Charge records Tags + agentFor a non-return or loss charge: containers shipped, where and when each was last seen, and every follow-up and reply. It supports the charge; it isn't proof on its own.
  • Incident reports Tags + agentFor a missing container or can: its sightings, assignment history, follow-ups and your notes, ready to export
  • Damage notes AgentReceiving notes damaged containers as they come back, when the agent asks; the agent keeps the rate
  • Weekly summary Tags + agentWhat's out, what's aging, what the agent did and what needs you
  • Questions, any time Tags + agentAsk where a customer's containers are, what's aging or what's waiting on you, any time

Planned

  • ERP and WMS integrations (planned)A direct connection to the systems you already use. CSV import and export are built in.
  • Dispatch integrations (planned)A direct connection to the dispatch software you use. The dispatch check works from a CSV and is built in.
  • API (planned)Your own tools reading BinStride data
  • Geofences (planned)Site boundaries drawn on the map that sort sightings automatically

How it compares

Tracking should cost less than losing track.

Traditional tracking is built for trucks and heavy equipment. BinStride is being built around the economics of reusable industrial containers, where affordability and scale matter.

Industrial containers are too valuable to lose and too inexpensive to justify traditional GPS tracking. BinStride is being designed to close that gap.

  • Barcodes

    What it tells you
Where a container was the last time someone scanned it.
    What it needs
A scanner, and someone to scan at every handoff.
    Built for
Counts and handoffs at your own docks.
  • RFID

    What it tells you
Where a container passed a reader.
    What it needs
A reader wherever you want to see a container.
    Built for
Fixed lanes, portals and dock doors you control.
  • GPS trackers

    What it tells you
Where the tracker last reported from.
    What it needs
A powered tracker on every container.
    Built for
Trucks and heavy equipment, with a price, battery and data plan to match.
  • BinStride

    What it tells you
Where each container was last seen, and when.
    What it needs
A small, long-life tag on each container. No readers to install at every site.
    Built for
    Fleets of thousands of containers.

BinStride adds where containers were last seen between your scans; keep your barcodes, RFID and ERP.

Industries

For pooling operators, manufacturers, growers, food processors and roll-off fleets.

Pooling and rental

Container pooling, rental and leasing

For operators whose containers spend most of their working life at customers' sites.

Your records say 120. BinStride last saw 312 there this month.

AgentThe agent has sent Northgate Foods the list, and a pickup is booked for Thursday.

At your customers' sites
There's nothing to install there. Your customers just answer the agent's follow-ups.
If customers mind the follow-ups
The follow-ups come from your desk, name exactly which containers, and say they're sent by the BinStride agent. You decide what goes out on its own and what waits for your OK.
In a disputed charge
It gives your account manager the record for that conversation: containers shipped, where and when each was last seen, and every follow-up and reply. That record supports the charge; it isn't proof on its own.

Automotive and manufacturing

Automotive and manufacturing returnable packaging

For returnable packaging programs: racks, totes, KLTs and bulk bins moving between plants, suppliers and cross-docks.

Not lost. Last seen at the wrong plant.

AgentThe agent flagged them this morning, sent the Jackson plant the list, and they're booked on tomorrow's return truck to Saltillo.

Steel racks
Metal can block or weaken the tag's signal. We test placement and mounting on your racks in the pilot, and tell you if they need a different approach.
RFID portals
Keep them. BinStride covers the gaps between portals and the suppliers and cross-docks that have none, and the agent chases what it finds there.
Your IT team
Start with spreadsheets: bring your container list in as a CSV, and the agent works from it. ERP and WMS integrations are planned.

Agriculture

Agriculture and produce bins

For growers, packers and bin rental companies, before and through harvest.

Before you buy more bins, see where yours were last seen.

AgentHarvest starts Monday. The agent has messaged Canyon Road and Hill Road about the 225 bins last seen there, and both pickups are set for Thursday.

Orchards out in the country
Bins are picked up wherever compatible devices pass nearby: at the packing shed, in growers' yards and on the roads between. Include your growers' sites in the pilot, and we'll go through what BinStride saw there with you.
Growers and a computer
They'll answer a short, specific message from your packinghouse: how many bins, which yard, when the truck comes. The agent says it's an AI agent, and anything you'd rather handle yourself waits for your OK.
In another packer's yard
BinStride shows where your bins were last seen, including in someone else's yard, and the agent asks for them back.

Pilot program

Put BinStride to work on your fleet.

A BinStride pilot puts tags on a slice of your fleet, on the sites and lanes you choose, with the BinStride agent working from day one, so you can see what BinStride does before you decide anything bigger.

Discuss a pilot

What we ask of you

  • Pick the containers, sites and lanes.
  • A contact who can help fit the tags and tell us what's normal for your fleet.
  • Your container list, who the agent may contact at each customer or supplier, and what it may send on its own.
  • A short check-in as results come in.

What's in a pilot

  • 50 to 100 tagged containers, chosen with you.
  • The sites or lanes you pick: your own sites, customer sites, suppliers, or a lane between them.
  • The BinStride agent from day one: it flags what needs action, follows up with your customers and suppliers, books pickups and sends your weekly summary.
  • Everything that's built in: the dashboard, import and export, overdue returns, dwell and customer accountability reports, charge records and the rest.
  • What BinStride saw at each of your sites and lanes, reviewed with you site by site.
  • Durability and mounting tested on your container type, under your handling.
  • A review of what turned up and what the agent closed, and a plan for a larger rollout if it's worth it.

Questions

Questions and answers

Plain answers, including what BinStride can't do.

The agent

What is the BinStride agent?

An AI agent that works like an employee for your fleet, on 24/7. It watches every container against your own lists, flags what needs action, follows up with customers and suppliers until containers come back, books pickups and sends you a weekly summary.

Who does the agent contact, and as whom?

The people you name at each customer, supplier or grower, by email, or by text if they've agreed to get texts. Messages come from your desk and say they're sent by the BinStride agent.

Do we approve what it sends?

You decide what it sends on its own and what waits for your OK. A pilot can start with everything waiting for your OK.

Is it a person?

No. It's an AI agent, and it says so in everything it sends.

Will BinStride tell us when something's wrong?

Yes. The agent flags what needs action, tells you what it's doing about each, and puts it all in your weekly summary.

The network

Does BinStride use GPS?

No. There's no GPS receiver in the container. Each tag is picked up by compatible devices passing nearby, and each sighting comes with the time and the place it was heard.

What picks up the tag?

Compatible devices that are already out in the world: in buildings, along roads and in vehicles. You don't install them and your customers don't either. When one passes within range of a BinStride tag, it picks the tag up and passes the sighting to BinStride.

Do we need to install readers at our sites?

No readers to install at every site. The BinStride network picks up tags at your sites, your customers' sites and on the road.

Can I see where my containers are right now?

You see where each container was last seen, and when. BinStride isn't live tracking: a container is picked up when a compatible device passes nearby, and each sighting comes with its time and place.

What does it mean when a container hasn't been seen?

Only that it hasn't been picked up since its last sighting. BinStride shows it as not seen, with where and when it was last seen. That's unknown: not lost, and not fine either. It's the place to start looking, and the agent starts there.

How accurate is the location?

Close enough to tell you which site, yard or dock a container was heard at, not which row or stack. In the pilot we check it against your real sites, including neighbours that share a fence.

Will it work at our customers' sites?

There's nothing to install there; your customer just answers the agent's follow-ups. Include the customer sites you care about in the pilot, and we'll go through what BinStride saw there with you.

What about containers on the road?

Containers can be picked up on the road, at truck stops and at hubs along the way. You see the places and times they were picked up, not a continuous route.

Tags and containers

Can tags go on metal containers or racks?

Metal can block or weaken the tag's signal. We test placement and mounting on your container type in the pilot, and tell you if it needs a different approach.

What about stacked containers?

We test where the tag goes on your containers, stacked the way you stack them, in the pilot.

How are tags attached?

Each tag is fixed to the container with a mounting method chosen and tested for its material and handling. Nothing to charge, pair or plug in.

How long do the batteries last?

The tag is designed for long life with no charging. We'll confirm battery life for the production tag before we quote it.

What happens if a tag falls off or is removed?

The container stops being seen, and BinStride shows where and when it was last seen. BinStride can't tell a removed tag from a container that simply hasn't been picked up since, which is why mounting is one of the first things the pilot tests.

Can the tags see what's in a container, or whether it's damaged?

No. The agent gets that from people: it asks receiving to note damaged containers as they come back, and asks customers which are empty and ready to go.

What kinds of containers does it work with?

Collapsible bulk containers, pallet boxes, bulk and field bins, totes, returnable racks and IBCs. Tell us yours; mounting is tested for each type.

Your systems and records

Can BinStride work with our existing inventory system?

Bring your container list in as a CSV and the agent works from it; export your inventory and sightings any time. ERP and WMS integrations and an API are planned.

Does it replace our barcodes or RFID?

It doesn't have to. BinStride adds where containers were last seen between your scans, including at sites with no reader, and the agent follows up on what it finds.

Can BinStride prove a customer kept our containers?

It gives you the record for that conversation: containers shipped, where and when each was last seen, and every follow-up and reply. That record supports the charge; it isn't proof on its own.

Does BinStride track people?

No. It records where your containers were heard. It doesn't record who or what heard them, and the agent contacts only the people you name.

Pilots and pricing

Is everything you describe in the pilot?

Yes. Everything we call built in is part of every pilot, and we deliver it there. Direct integrations with ERP, WMS and dispatch software and an API are planned, and we say so.

How much does BinStride cost?

It depends on your fleet size, the tag and mounting your containers need, and service terms. BinStride is built around the economics of reusable containers, so it's meant to be affordable across fleets of thousands. Ask us about a pilot.

Is BinStride available now?
