This page explains what the BinStride website collects, why, where it's kept and how to have it deleted. BinStride is starting pilots. When what the site collects changes, we update this page and its date.
The pilot inquiry form
When you send the form, we save what you enter:
- your name, work email and company;
- on the main page: your approximate fleet size and container type; if you answer them, your business and how you track your containers today;
- on the roll-off dumpster page: your state and number of dumpsters; if you answer them, your dispatch software and biggest challenge;
- on the returnable bins page: how many bins you have; if you answer them, how many are outstanding today, what you ship in them and how you track them today;
- anything else you write.
With it we save the page you sent it from and the country it came from, as reported by our host. We don't save your IP address or your browser's details with your inquiry.
We'll only use these details to reply about BinStride.
Where it's stored and for how long
Inquiries are saved in a database run for us by our host, Cloudflare (Cloudflare D1), and a copy of each is emailed to the BinStride team through Cloudflare's email service so we can reply. We keep an inquiry while we're talking with you about BinStride, and delete it when you ask.
Like any host, Cloudflare logs requests to the site, such as the IP address and browser they came from, to run and protect it.
The bot check
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a script, is sending it. Turnstile runs in your browser while you use the form, and most people never see it. Cloudflare provides it under the Turnstile privacy addendum. We receive only whether the check passed.
The voice demo
On the returnable bins page you can talk with the BinStride agent, an AI agent, in a demo that uses a sample fleet.
- A call starts only when you press "Talk to the agent" and your browser lets the page use your microphone. It ends when you end it, or after four minutes.
- Your voice goes to our voice provider, which runs the agent, for the length of the call. Our voice provider may also record the call's audio and keep that recording in our account. Our site doesn't keep any audio.
- A transcript of each call is kept and sent to the BinStride team. Our voice provider keeps it in our account; our site keeps it, with the call's length and a short summary of what you asked about, for 90 days; and a copy goes to the team by email.
- The emails, texts and replies the page shows during a call are scripted demo messages. Nothing is sent to anyone, and they're deleted within 20 minutes of the call starting.
- Before a call starts, the same bot check as the form runs. To keep the demo within its daily limits, we save that a call started, the day, and a one-way code made from your IP address and the date with a secret key. The code can't be turned back into your address and changes every day, and we delete it after two days. We don't save your IP address.
- The demo doesn't contact you: it sends no email or text and books nothing. If you ask the agent to pass your details on or to set up a call, it saves your name, your email or phone number, your company if you give it, and the day and time you'd like, as a pilot inquiry, and a copy is emailed to the BinStride team, who follow up personally.
