Glass racks on every jobsite, and an agent that gets them back.

BinStride tags show where each glass rack was last seen and when: on jobsites, at glaziers' shops and at your customers' plants. The BinStride agent works like a rack-returns employee, on 24/7: it asks which racks are empty, puts them on trucks already going that way and keeps your rack count.

Built for glass fabricators that deliver on steel racks.

The problem

Every rack on a jobsite is a rack you're not shipping on.

  • Racks outstay the glass

The glass went in weeks ago. The racks are still on the jobsite, and nobody owns the follow-up.

  • Racks move without a record

A glazier takes your racks to their shop or their next job, and your delivery list still says the first site.

  • More racks, every year

You build or buy racks while your own sit at customers, and a missing rack starts with phone calls.

How it works

Attach. Detect. Locate. Follow through.

  1. Attach a tag

Fix a long-life tag to each rack, with placement and mounting chosen and tested for your racks: steel blocks and weakens the tag's signal. Nothing to charge, pair or plug in.

  2. Let the network detect it

When a compatible device passes nearby, on a jobsite, at a glazier's shop or at your customer's plant, it picks up the tag and records the time and the place.

  3. Locate it in BinStride

See where each rack was last seen and when, by customer and jobsite, beside your delivery list.

  4. Let the agent follow through

The agent asks which racks are empty, books them on trucks going that way and keeps your rack count.

The BinStride network

The BinStride network picks up your racks wherever compatible devices pass nearby: on jobsites, at glaziers' shops, at your customers' plants and on the road in between, with no readers to install.

Each sighting comes with its time and place.

Watch: glass racks

The BinStride agent

Your rack-returns employee, on 24/7.

Not another dashboard to watch. The BinStride agent is an AI agent that works like a rack-returns employee: it watches every rack against your delivery list, follows up until racks come back, and keeps your rack count.

  • Watches every rack's sightings against your delivery list.
  • Flags what needs action: racks on a jobsite past your target, racks last seen somewhere other than where you delivered them, and racks not seen in your window.
  • Asks the project manager or site contact which racks are empty and ready to collect, by email or text.
  • Puts empty racks on a delivery truck already going that way, with your dispatcher's OK.
  • Asks your yard to note damaged racks as they come back.
  • Assembles the record for demurrage on racks kept past your free period.
  • Sends your weekly rack summary.
  • Answers "how many of our racks are at the Aurora hospital job?" any time.

You decide what it sends on its own and what waits for your OK. Texts go only to people who've agreed to get them.

BinStride agentto you, your weekly rack summary Weekly

Your racks this week, week of Oct 26

  • Out: 1,120 racks at jobsites, shops and plants.
  • On site past your 30-day target: 286 racks at 11 sites. Follow-ups sent to 8; pickups booked at 5.
  • Office tower jobsite, Denver CO: your list says 52; 38 last seen there and 14 at Glazier's shop, Englewood CO. I've asked the project manager which are empty; the shop's pickup is booked for Thu Nov 5.
  • Returned this week: 160 racks, 3 noted damaged at your yard.
  • Average rack turn time this quarter: 41 days.
  • Not seen in 30 days: 240 of 1,850 tagged racks. 12 were last seen at School jobsite, Boulder CO, on Sep 18; I've asked the contractor.
  • Needs you: OK the Aurora pickup on the Nov 4 delivery.

Your delivery list

Racks don't stay where you delivered them.

Your delivery list says where each rack went. BinStride shows where it was last seen and when, and the agent works every difference with the customer until the racks are back.

Your delivery list says 52 racks at the Office tower jobsite. BinStride last saw 38 there, and 14 at the glazier's shop in Englewood.

The agent has already asked the project manager which racks are empty, and booked the shop's pickup.

There's nothing to install on the jobsite. The site just answers the agent's questions. Discuss a pilot

Pilot program

Put BinStride to work on your racks.

A BinStride pilot puts tags on some of your racks, delivered to a few of your customers' jobsites and shops you choose, with the agent working from day one, so you can see what BinStride does before you decide anything bigger.

Discuss a pilot

What we ask of you

  • Pick the racks and the customers.
  • A contact who can help fit the tags, and your delivery list.
  • Who the agent may contact at each customer, and what it may send on its own.
  • A short check-in as results come in.

What's in a pilot

  • Tagged racks, chosen with you.
  • A few of your customers' jobsites and shops, plus your own plant.
  • The BinStride agent from day one: follow-ups, pickups on trucks going that way, damage notes and your weekly summary.
  • Everything in the table above, built in.
  • Your delivery list beside where each rack was last seen.
  • Mounting tested on each of your rack types, under your handling.
  • A review of what turned up and what the agent closed, and a plan for the rest of your racks if it's worth it.

Questions

Questions and answers

Plain answers, including what the tags can't see.

The agent

What is the BinStride agent?

An AI agent that works like a rack-returns employee, on 24/7. It watches every rack against your delivery list, follows up with customers until racks come back, and keeps your rack count.

Who does the agent contact, and as whom?

The people you name at each customer, by email, or by text if they've agreed to get texts. Messages come from your rack desk and say they're sent by the BinStride agent. You decide what it sends on its own and what waits for your OK.

Can it prove a customer kept our racks?

It gives you the record for that conversation: every rack delivered, where and when each was last seen, and every follow-up and reply. That record supports the charge; it isn't proof on its own.

How it works

Can I see where a rack is right now?

You see where each rack was last seen, and when. BinStride isn't live tracking: a rack is picked up when a compatible device passes nearby, and each sighting comes with its time and place.

Does BinStride use GPS?

No. There's no GPS receiver in the tag. Each sighting comes with the time and the place it was heard.

Do glaziers or jobsites need to install anything?

No. There's nothing to install on a jobsite or in a shop. They just answer the agent's questions.

How accurate is the location?

Close enough to tell you which jobsite, shop or plant a rack was heard at, not which floor or bay.

Racks and tags

Our racks are steel. Will it work?

Steel blocks and weakens the tag's signal, so placement and mounting are chosen and tested on each of your rack types, under your handling, in the pilot.

Does it know which racks are empty?

The tags see racks, not the glass on them. The agent asks the site which racks are empty and ready to collect.

What happens if a tag comes off?

The rack stops being seen, and BinStride shows where and when it was last seen. BinStride can't tell a removed tag from a rack that simply hasn't been picked up since, which is why mounting is one of the first things the pilot tests.

How long do the batteries last?

The tag is designed for long life with no charging. We'll confirm battery life for the production tag before we quote it.

Your systems

Does it work with our ERP or dispatch software?

Bring your delivery list in as a CSV, and the agent works from it; export BinStride's last-seen list any time. ERP and dispatch integrations are planned.

Pilots and pricing

How much does it cost?

It depends on how many racks you have, the tag and mounting your racks need, and service terms. BinStride is built around the economics of reusable containers. Ask us about a pilot.
